It is worth noting that this is the best capped plan that anyone has tried to implement. When time warner did it they where going to cap you at 40Gig. Games are not that big of a deal unless you are using a game streaming service. But with lots of things going to full 1080p HD streaming the usage wi...

Ya that is bad news. Taking bets now as to how long it takes everyone else to jump on that bandwagon.

Personally i dont use near that much now but you start streaming movies/tv/etc to multiple tv's throughtout the house and it might start to effect more than the 2% of people they claim it will.

00 Passes control to OS Loader (typically INT19h).

That is good as it at least passed all the basic hardware checks. It is possible that it should change though as it goes thru its steps.

You might want to try the clear cmos jumper as something wierd could be set in the bios.

AMD is great. This new pc is actually my first Intel build in along long time. For the price it is hard to beat AMD but you just know you are not getting the fastest out there.

I have not really focused on amd motherboards so i cant really comment on that but everything else looks decent.

From the dx11 article on toms hardware they also noted that amd processers perform alot worse fps wise than intel cpu's did.

AMD is pretty far behind the i5/i7 at this point but also alot cheaper. The bulldozer stuff coming out is sposed to put them ahead but noone has seen it yet. here is a decent chart about where the different chips rank with each other. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-cpu-core-i5-2500k...

If you can afford a bit more, the i7 950 at micro-center is only $199 but getting a x58 motherboard will cost you around 150-200 depending on the features you want and the performace would be a pretty good. Not sure what your budget is though.

There is a problem with them where the performance on the sata3 ports 3 and 4 will degrate over time (3 years) and needs a silicion fix /motherboard redesign to fix it. They say it affects about 5-15% of the chips but i bet it is much higher as the cost of this could be close to 1 billion according ...

Everything is finalized and ordered. Due to the last min sandy bridge recall i had to go with the i7 950. A little dissapointed as it will cost me slightly more for a bit less power but i didnt want to wait untill april/may for when they come back out. Picked up the proc from micro-center and get th...

I dont have an issue tinkering but i dont have a nice warm and fuzzy about ssd's right now. I will not have a 2nd machine to do any imaging so if that takes my risk factor up alot then i dont think i will worry about SSD. Do you think you saw a big improvement in wow due to your ssd? I am going clos...

The last thing i am trying to decide on is what Hard drive config to go with. The more i look at it the more confused i am getting.
